Deadline: 07-Nov-2025
The Rozsa Foundation, together with Calgary Arts Development and the Calgary Foundation, is now offering funding through its Future Focus program in the Exploration + Implementation phase.
This stream is designed for arts organizations wanting to address big questions about their direction, structure, or sustainability, and to make meaningful changes beyond their current practices.
Existing organizations in the Treaty 7 region (including Red Deer) that are arts-focused or use arts centrally in their mission may apply. Eligible entities include registered charities, non-profits, grassroots groups, and comparable organizational structures. Organizations currently undertaking a Future Focus project, or with outstanding reporting obligations, or those supported by Rozsa, CADA, or Calgary Foundation for the same project work are not eligible.
Grants of up to CAD$15,000 are available under the Exploration phase for planning, assessment, or strategy development. The Implementation phase offers up to CAD$25,000 for organizations that have completed exploratory work or are building on prior relevant initiatives. Applicants can apply to Investigation or Exploration phases before going on to Implementation.
The program accepts applications during multiple intake periods throughout the year, with consultations required ahead of deadlines. Each deadline includes opportunities for applicants to book a conversation with program staff to discuss their project idea and eligibility. Applications are reviewed, and decisions are made approximately eight weeks after the application deadline.
The funding is intended not for purely artistic programming but for organizational change: exploring challenges of mission, model, revenue diversification, partnerships, venue use, structure, or sustainability. This is a chance for arts organizations to plan, innovate, and set a new course for their future.
