The ALF In Motion program supports independent visual artists in creating, exhibiting, and promoting their works through funding for mobility and exhibition projects within Italy.
This grant opportunity focuses on Peacebuilding and conflict resolution, Coexistence and living together, Inclusive dynamics, and Challenging disinformation and misinformation.
Applicants can participate through four distinct mobility modalities designed to best fit their intercultural dialogue initiatives. The first is Mobility for Partnership, which supports developing joint project proposals for international donors with a minimum duration of seven days and funding of 1,300 euros. The second, Mobility for Action, provides up to 1,000 euros for a minimum two-day engagement to bring external expertise to workshops, debates, trainings, and cultural events. The third modality, Mobility for Creativity, offers 2,200 euros to host artists and creative individuals for collaborative cultural initiatives lasting at least twenty days. Finally, Mobility for Knowledge funds partnerships with specialized entities to produce intercultural dialogue know-how, supporting projects for at least seven days with funding of 1,300 euros.
Eligible applications must be submitted by a single host organization registered as a legal entity in one of the 43 Euro-Mediterranean Partnership countries. The host invites one representative from another organization based on the opposite shore of the Mediterranean, except in the Creativity modality, where individual artists not representing organizations are eligible to be hosted. All activities must take place within the host organization’s home country, fostering meaningful exchange and collaboration across Mediterranean borders.
