Deadline: 28-Aug-2025
The Financial and Tax Literacy Directorate of ICAI, in partnership with MyGov, is inviting citizens to take part in the Financial Poetic Challenge. This poetry competition encourages people from all walks of life to creatively express financial themes through verse.
The goal of the challenge is to spread awareness and understanding of essential financial topics. Participants are encouraged to use poetry to shed light on concepts such as saving, budgeting, investing, retirement planning, insurance, responsible borrowing, and fraud prevention.
Anyone with a love for poetry, whether experienced or a beginner, is welcome to join the initiative. The competition supports the broader aim of fostering a financially informed India through artistic expression.
Participants can choose one topic to write about from a list that includes saving habits, smart investing, budgeting, retirement planning, financial independence, fraud avoidance, insurance, and digital payment safety.
Winners of the challenge will receive cash rewards. The first prize is ₹7,000, second prize is ₹5,000, and third prize is ₹3,000. There will also be six consolation prizes of ₹1,500 each—three for Hindi entries and three for English.
The competition is open to all Indian citizens. Poems can be written in either Hindi or English and must be submitted as a clear, readable, and downloadable PDF.
Entries will be judged on how well they reflect the theme, as well as their creativity, originality, language use, and clarity of message.
