Deadline: 18-Aug-2025
The Germany for Art and Architecture Teachers Grant Programme offers teachers in fields such as architecture, music, design, cinema, and performing arts a chance to undertake a working visit to a German university. Participants are free to choose their host institution and plan a stay lasting from one to three months, starting in February 2026.
The programme, funded by the DAAD, provides monthly scholarships, round-trip airfare, and insurance coverage. Monthly payments are 2,000 euros for assistant teachers, assistant professors, and lecturers, and 2,150 euros for professors. The funding duration must be specified in the application and must begin in 2026.
The grant supports study visits to state or state-recognized universities in Germany aimed at fostering artistic cooperation. Visits can involve one or more institutions. Recipients can only claim this funding once every three years.
Eligible applicants are university teachers in disciplines such as architecture, monument conservation, urban and regional planning, landscape architecture, fine art, film, design, visual communication, performing arts, and music.
Applications are reviewed by an independent selection committee. Key selection criteria include strong academic qualifications documented in the applicant’s CV and a well-structured, persuasive research project. Equal opportunity considerations are also taken into account and may be addressed in the application.
