Deadline: 31-Aug-2025
Ryman Healthcare has launched the Love to Dance Grant to celebrate creativity and provide financial support to dancers and dance communities across New Zealand.
The focus areas of the grant include supporting individuals or groups who are passionate about dance, encouraging creativity and innovation through performance, strengthening community connection and participation, and nurturing emerging talent through opportunities that recognise skill and dedication.
The grant is open to residents of New Zealand aged 16 years and over. Applicants must submit an online application that includes a short video of no more than 90 seconds. Individual dancers may apply directly, and schools can also apply on behalf of individual dancers. Ryman Healthcare staff and their immediate families are not eligible, though they may participate as members of groups if declared under the conflict of interest policy.
A total of three grants are available, each valued at NZD 5,000, with a total funding pool of NZD 15,000. All entries will be reviewed, and nine applications with the highest number of public votes will advance to the finalist round. Finalists’ applications will be published on the Ryman Healthcare website, where public voting will determine the shortlist before internal judges select three winners. Voting is limited to one vote per person, and voters must provide their details to confirm their submission.
The winners will be announced in October 2025 and notified initially by phone, followed by email confirmation. Winning entries, including videos, may be published across Ryman Healthcare’s platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and the official website.
The grant is designed as a celebration of dance, encouraging New Zealand dancers to showcase their talent while receiving financial support to advance their artistic journey.
