Deadline: 12-Sep-2025
The Tulipán Foundation offers a truly inspiring opportunity for U.S.-based nonprofit organizations through its Cultural Connection Award.
Tailored for missions that celebrate and elevate Hungarian culture, this grant program provides financial support ranging from $500 to $5,000 to help bring cultural projects to life.
Building bridges between communities, this award seeks proposals that deepen public engagement with Hungarian heritage. Organizations are encouraged to develop visually engaging and accessible programming—such as workshops, performances, festivals, or exhibitions—that actively involve both Hungarian American audiences and the broader public.
By empowering nonprofits with funding, Tulipán enables grassroots expression of Hungarian traditions across the U.S. Successful applicants are required to submit a final report highlighting the project’s impact, insights learned, and community response. This grant offers a remarkable chance to enrich cultural programming, foster community connections, and bring Hungarian culture into vibrant public life.
Applicants must be U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in good standing with the IRS. They must also demonstrate a clear commitment to promoting Hungarian culture, heritage, or community engagement through their proposed project or show a strong interest in developing initiatives that celebrate and preserve Hungarian heritage in the U.S.
Please note that priority will be given to projects that actively engage the local Hungarian American community or broader U.S. audiences, creating opportunities for dialogue, learning, or collaboration. These projects should have a clear public-facing component, such as workshops, festivals, or public performances.
