The Tipperary County Council Local Drama Scheme supports local drama groups by funding development-focused activities that strengthen skills, improve production quality, and expand creative opportunities within County Tipperary.
Funding & Awards

Number of Awards: Up to 2 development awards in 2026.

Maximum Value: €500 per award.

Purpose: To support developmental activities rather than routine productions.
Eligible Activities
Funding may be used for:

Actor development, teambuilding, and voice training.

Enhancing knowledge of set design, lighting, sound, costumes, and props.

Exploring outdoor production considerations.
-
Participating in workshops on promotion, social media, or playwriting.

Receiving guidance from directors or subject specialists.

Undertaking performances for special audiences or occasions.
Ineligible activities:

Normal annual productions.

Purchase of equipment.
-
Courses already subsidised by national agencies.
All developmental work must take place in 2026, and applications must include a CV/resume for external advisors involved.
Application Requirements

Overview of expected project costs.

Compliance with the Paying the Artist policy.

Only one application per group or joint group is permitted.

Proposals are reviewed by an independent expert, whose decision is final.
Post-Award Requirements

Successful groups must submit receipts and a short report including photos.

Acknowledge Tipperary County Council support publicly on posters, invitations, social media, etc.
