The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation and International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn, New York, supports a residency for curators and artists from India.
The residency is up to three months between 1st April 2026 to 30th June 2026. The residency includes 24-hour access to a private and furnished studio space, regular studio visits from visiting critics, field trips to museums, galleries and other cultural institutions, and participation in ISCP Talks. Residents are also invited to take part in ISCP’s Exhibition Program and Participatory Projects. The residency includes a stipend for accommodation and living expenses in New York City and travel costs.
The applicant must be an Indian passport holding citizen and resident in India at the time of application. The applicant must be born on or after 1st January 1990. The applicant should not have received any prior grant from the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation for any other overseas project. The selection process involves a desk review of the application followed by an online interview of the shortlisted applicants. Shortlisted applicants will be informed by Mid-November 2025. If your application is successful, there will be a deadline of February 1, 2026, to obtain a visa, in order to participate in this residency. ISCP recommends a B1 / B2 visa, and can assist with a letter of support.
Applicants are required to submit their applications by 15th October 2025, 11:59 pm IST. The residency promises an enriching platform for creative practitioners, combining dedicated studio access, critical engagement, and opportunities for public participation. With the support of field trips, exhibitions, and collaborative projects, participants will be able to immerse themselves in New York’s cultural environment while receiving financial and logistical support from the foundation.
