Deadline: 24-Aug-2025
Applications are open for the Swiss Cultural Fund Program, which supports both emerging and established Swiss artistic talents in the United Kingdom. The program aims to promote Swiss culture and foster intercultural dialogue between Switzerland and the UK through artistic interventions.
As an independent charity, the Swiss Cultural Fund UK operates with a limited project budget. Grants typically do not exceed £3,000 per project. Funding is awarded to projects that show strong collaboration with respected UK institutions, engage local communities, and provide Swiss artists with opportunities to expand their networks and professional exposure.
Priority is given to projects that offer innovative artistic perspectives on societal issues and highlight diverse voices. The fund supports work that is accessible to the public, professionally delivered, and demonstrates sustainability and social inclusivity.
Applicants must be Swiss nationals or have lived in Switzerland for at least five consecutive years, with a solid track record in their field. Venues or institutions in the UK may also apply on behalf of the Swiss artists they are hosting, and must explain how the funding will be used. Students will not be supported through bursaries or similar grants.
Projects must align with the fund’s mission to present Swiss culture to UK audiences. Only projects that are already planned in partnership with a recognized, not-for-profit UK cultural venue or organization are eligible. Projects already supported cannot be funded a second time.
While projects in a Research & Development phase are not eligible for funding of that phase itself, the resulting production may be supported. Applicants must specify the intended use of funds, ensure artistic excellence, and show innovation, public access, and a balanced cost-benefit ratio in their proposals.
