The Artists 360 is calling for nominations for its Creative Impact Award to provide one artist based in Northwest Arkansas that is designed to strengthen the artist’s career and deepen the arts community in Northwest Arkansas.
In writing a nomination, nominators are asked to provide concrete examples of what the nominee has accomplished that merits receiving this award. Nominees may come from any artistic discipline, including but not limited to dance, film, folk, music, theater, and visual art. This opportunity is designed for artists that can be leaders and provocateurs for the artistic community in Northwest Arkansas.
Artists that will be considered are at least mid-career, make exceptional work and are professionally recognized both within Arkansas and nationally, have noted contributions to Northwest Arkansas’s cultural ecosystem, and live in one of the following Arkansas counties: Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Sebastian, and Washington.

Judging Criteria & Eligibility
- The nomination review panel for the Creative Impact Grant will use the following criteria in selecting the awardee.
- Artist must reside in one of the following counties in Northwest Arkansas: Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Sebastian, and Washington.
- Artist must be considered mid-career or established.
- Artist must make exceptional work and be recognized as a professional in their field both within Arkansas and nationally.
- Artist should have noted contributions to Northwest Arkansas’s cultural ecosystem.
- Artist should be committed to building and supporting the arts community in Northwest Arkansas.
- Artist must be available to attend the Artists 360 Fall Convening from October 14-16, 2022 in Eureka Springs, AR.
- Artist must be available to attend the Artists 360 Spring Alumni Convening and Showcase April 22-23, 2023 in Bentonville, AR.
- Artists working in and across a range of disciplines may be nominated.
- Visual Arts (painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, fiber, film, screenwriting, video, media arts, photography, mixed media, wearable art)
- Performing Arts (dance, theater, music opera, puppetry, storytelling, playwriting, performance art)
- Literary Arts (fiction, nonfiction, poetry)
- Traditional Arts (work that is made based on artistic traditions shaped by values and standards of excellence that are passed from generation to generation through demonstration, conversation and practice – may include crafts, storytelling, dance, music, or functional art)
- Multidisciplinary
Nomination Process
- All nominations must be completed through the online nomination form and must include the full name and contact information of the nominator. Nominations may be submitted by self-nomination or by anyone who lives or works in the following Arkansas counties (Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Sebastian, and Washington).
- Nominators may submit more than one nomination but must complete a separate nomination form for each nominee.
- Each nominated artist will receive written communication from Mid-America Arts Alliance within one week of the nomination period closing date (June 30, 2022). The nominees will be asked to complete the online application form and submit the following.
- Artist or Personal Statement
- 3-5 work samples
- Artistic CV or Resume
- A statement telling them why they should be considered for the Creative Impact Award (500 words maximum)
- Nominees will be given a minimum of three weeks to complete an online application. Selected artist will be notified by September 15, 2022.
