The 15th edition of the Postcode Lotteries Green Challenge has been launched to support Green start-ups from the Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, Norway and Sweden.
This is one of the biggest annual competitions in the field of sustainable businesses. With this competition, the Postcode Lotteries help start-ups from Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden (countries where Postcode Lotteries are located) to bring their green innovations to market.
This international sustainability competition has grown to become one of the largest of its kind in the world.
Funding Information
- There is a total of €1 million in combined prize money for the five best start-ups, €500,000 of which, plus coaching, is awarded to the winner. With this international competition, the Postcode Lotteries is helping start-ups to bring their innovations to market to help to make the world more sustainable.
Your solution/innovation
- Should contribute towards a more sustainable planet. They are specifically looking for sustainable innovations or solutions that their players can relate to, which they can use in daily life and/or that can be made into a consumer product.
- Should be developed enough to execute
- Should be realizable as a usable product or service within the next two years
- Should be located in one of the countries in which there is a Postcode Lottery: Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Norway or Sweden
Note: Besides these criteria, the jury will also look at factors such as: communication potential, courage and creativity.
Eligibility Criteria
- Innovative entrepreneurs: You are an entrepreneur with an innovative, green and scalable business from a country in which there is a Postcode Lottery
- Business plan: You have a proven business plan to execute your idea
- A sustainable planet: You have a product or service that contributes towards a more sustainable planet
- To market: Your product/service should be developed enough to be executed and brought to market within 2 years
- English: You are able to pitch your business plan in English
You should:
- Be willing to bring your idea to market yourself, and to commit to working with any organisation necessary for developing the product and/or implementing the service
- Be 18 years or older
- Agree with all their Terms & Conditions
- Fully complete all the questions on the entry form in English
- Be willing to present your idea to the Final Jury
- Be located in one of the countries in which there is a Postcode Lottery: Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Norway or Sweden
