SLINGSHOT competition is looking for new and exciting startups with innovative solutions to compete in this year. Showcase your game-changing solutions to a global audience of investors and key industry leaders from five emerging challenge domains, and compete for over S$1.2 million in attractive prizes!
SLINGSHOT 2023’s Top 50 Global Startups will win a sponsored trip to Singapore to be connected to Asia’s leading startup community. Make the pitch of a lifetime at the SLINGSHOT 2023 Finals, which will be held at Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) 2023.
Prizes
- Grand Winner will be rewarded with a S$200,000 Startup SG Grant (VAT included); such grant to be accepted by the winner subject to the applicable terms of the grant;
- 1st Runner-Up will be rewarded with a S$150,000 Startup SG Grant (VAT included); such grant to be accepted by the winner subject to the applicable terms of the grant;
- 2nd Runner-Up will be rewarded with a S$100,000 Startup SG Grant (VAT included); such grant to be accepted by the winner subject to the applicable terms of the grant;
- 10 Domain Winners will be rewarded with S$50,000 Startup SG Grant (VAT included) each; such grant to be accepted by the winners subject to the applicable terms of the grant
- SLINGSHOT 2023 participants may also be eligible to receive in-kind sponsored or cash prizes from their partners; subject to terms outlined by the Organiser and said partners.
Grant Mechanism
- The Startup SG Grants will be disbursed in at least 2 tranches across a 12-month period and each tranche will be tied to a certain product or business development milestones that are agreed upon.
- You will be required to submit an application form (to be sent later to grant recipients) to an assigned case officer, which will include proposing product or business milestones for disbursement.
- Case officers will then work with you to iron out these milestones and ensure they are aligned with your development plans yet commensurate with the grant amount given.
Eligibility Criteria
- They are not just looking for brilliant ideas, but most importantly, practical and scalable solutions.
- Any international startups with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and meet the following conditions are eligible to participate:
- Can illustrate initial signs of traction;
- Have proprietary technology or solutions.
- Regardless of your business area, all startups are welcome to apply in any domains stated in the SLINGSHOT 2023 Competition:
- Transformative Digital Technologies
- Health and Biomedical
- Manufacturing, Trade and Connectivity
- Environment, Energy and Green Technologies
- Consumer Media, Goods and Services.
