The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India (DST) is seeking applications for its program entitled “Mahesh Modi Environment Technology Award 2017”.
Department of Science & Technology (DST) was established in May 1971, with the objective of promoting new areas of Science & Technology and to play the role of a nodal department for organising, coordinating and promoting S&T activities in the country.
Award Criteria
The technological innovation should principally be related to the field of automobile engineering and which will:
- Help India to improve environment.
- Create a new technology or significantly develop an existing technology, with demonstrate competitive advantage and large cross section of users / consumer response.
- Compete successfully internationally on the basis of novelty, price, quality, functionality and reliability.
- Contribute benefits to the country and help raise the standards of quality of life of the community.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible Applicants include:
- Individuals or a group of individuals working and recommended by a company, organization, Research Institutes, etc. having operations in India.
- The technological innovation must have originated in India.
