The United States Department of State Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) is seeking proposals from organisations for its NGO Projects Benefiting Refugees in Ethiopia and Kenya.
Activities
- For activities in Benishangul-Gumuz, proposals may focus on one or more of the following areas of intervention (with the items in parentheses as areas of particular interest to PRM):
- Protection (child protection and/or gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response; assistance to elderly persons with specific needs; and/or to persons living with disabilities)
- Livelihoods, N.B. Any proposal must include a completed market analysis.
- Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
- For activities in Dollo Ado, proposals may focus on one or more of the following areas of intervention (with the items in parentheses as areas of particular interest to PRM):
- Protection (child protection and/or gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response)
- Education (primary and/or secondary)
- Health (primary care, reproductive health and/or maternal and child health; assistance to elderly persons with specific needs; and/or to persons living with disabilities)
- Nutrition and food security (activities to support diet diversification or foodrelated livelihoods)
- For activities in Gambella, proposals may focus on one or more of the following areas of intervention (with the items in parentheses as areas of particular interest to PRM):
- Protection (child protection and/or GBV prevention and response; assistance to elderly persons with specific needs; and/or to persons living with disabilities)
- Education (primary and/or secondary)
- Health (reproductive health and/or maternal and child health; assistance to elderly persons with specific needs; and/or to persons living with disabilities)
- Nutrition and/or food security (activities to support diet diversification or foodrelated livelihoods)
- Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
- For activities in Jijiga, proposals may focus on one or more of the following areas of intervention (with the items in parentheses as areas of particular interest to PRM):
- Protection (child protection and/or GBV prevention and response)
- Education (primary and/or secondary)
- Health (reproductive health and/or maternal and child health; assistance to elderly persons with specific needs; and/or to persons living with disabilities)

- Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
- For activities in refugee hosting areas, proposals may focus on one or more of the following areas of intervention (with the items in parentheses as areas of particular interest to PRM):
- Protection (GBV prevention and response; support to LGBTI refugees; child protection, and/or assistance to separated and unaccompanied minors)
- Communication (delivery of updated information on durable solutions and refugee rights, and accountability and feedback to refugees)
- Education (primary and/or secondary)
- Health (reproductive health and/or maternal and child health; assistance to elderly persons and other vulnerable populations with specific needs; and/or persons living with disabilities)
- Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
Funding Information
- Award Ceiling: $2,000,000
- Award Floor: $500,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education.
- International Organizations.
