Connecting Classrooms supports partnerships between UK schools and schools in developing countries to build teachers’ skills and pupils’ understanding of global issues.
The programme offers an interactive online platform for collaboration, grants for teachers to visit their partner schools and professional development for teachers and school leaders.
Grants Information
Grants are awarded on a competitive basis, with schools needing to demonstrate a strong commitment to their partner schools, to embedding global learning in their curriculum and have a teacher committed to professional development in this area.
Focus Countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sudan, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe
