Djezzy is launching its Open Innovation Challenge 2025 to encourage startups, researchers, and students to develop technological solutions that enhance digital inclusion, reduce inequalities, and connect remote or vulnerable populations to opportunities offered by digital transformation.
The challenge aims to encourage the creation of technology startups that develop innovative solutions promoting inclusive and responsible digital technology to address the key challenges of digital transformation. It seeks to strengthen entrepreneurial activity by supporting high-potential projects that tackle concrete issues related to urbanization, sustainability, and digital inclusion. The initiative also promotes collaboration between startups, experts, and institutions to accelerate experimentation, market launch, and large-scale deployment of smart solutions. Additionally, it encourages responsible innovation by supporting technological solutions that have positive social and environmental impacts on communities and territories.
The Djezzy Open Innovation Challenge invites Algerian startups and innovators to submit proposals that leverage digital technology for social inclusion and equitable access to essential services. Projects may cover diverse fields, as long as they contribute to making technology more accessible, useful, and responsible.
Eligible participants include innovative startups and microenterprises, engineers and professionals undergoing professional retraining, as well as researchers and students. Successful proposals will be evaluated based on the importance of the problem addressed, the relevance and viability of the solution, alignment with Djezzy’s priorities, progress and maturity of the solution, technological dimension, originality, innovation, and the team’s qualifications and experience.
The challenge offers a support grant of 200,000 DZD for the winning project, along with access to Djezzy’s resources, expertise, and its network of partners. Participants also benefit from mentorship, collaboration opportunities, and engagement with institutional and economic actors in Algeria’s innovation ecosystem.
Through this initiative, Djezzy aims to capture emerging market signals, co-construct solutions with local talent, and foster a more inclusive, united, and socially responsible digital future in Algeria.
