The IKP Knowledge Park (IKP) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) are inviting proposals for the initiative- Grand Challenges in Agriculture for Nutrition (GC-AgN).
As part of this initiative, IKP will crowd-source tested Indian technologies, business models, best practices, and knowledge innovations and solutions in the agri-food sector around well-defined priority questions addressing persistent problems in delivering nutrition, for implementation and adaptation in identified developing countries in Africa and South Asia.
The aim of the call is to improve the nutrition status of women and children in India, for testing and adaptation in developing countries in Africa and South Asia.
Target Areas
- sustainable farming systems for nutrition
- reduced nutritional loss/waste through the agriculture supply chain, including postharvest handling and processing, packaging, storage and distribution
- Consumption pattern and behaviour change
Funding
Funding of up to INR 1.2 Crore may be available for the selected candidates for a period of two years.
Eligibility Criteria
This Call for Proposals is open to anyone from any discipline in India – from researchers and faculty in colleges/ universities/government laboratories/ institutions to startups, SMEs, notfor-profit organizations and for-profit organizations.
Note: The Call is only for applicants who have at least piloted or tested their innovative solutions in the area described above in India.
