The Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (IFA), funded by the German Federal Foreign Office is seeking applications for CrossCulture Programme “Eastern Partnership and Russia” that will offer young professionals and committed volunteers the opportunity to expand their professional and intercultural competence as well as to gather international experience through a job-related stay in another cultural context.
Benefits
- This includes a monthly grant of 550 Euro, travel costs to Germany and urban public transport, as well as visa fees, health insurance and accommodation.
- The latter is either a private room in a shared flat (according to gender), a private room in a host family or a small furnished apartment.
- Accommodation includes costs for electricity, water and heating; whereas telephone and internet facilities are not included.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants should have a good command of English and a permanent involvement in an organisation or institution in their home country.
- Knowledge of the German language is an additional qualification, not a requirement.
- Applicants should be aged between 23 to 45 years. Currently enrolled university students will not be considered for selection.
- Furthermore the applicants must be in good health. The physical as well as mental working capacity must be sufficient for the requirements of a longer stay abroad and the essential work requirements of the internship.
- Eligible applicants should have the nationality of one of the participating countries (mentioned below).

- Letter of motivation, describing reasons to apply for an internship in Germany.
- CV with information about current professional position.
- Recommendation letter by home organisation, showing their interest for participation in the programme and their willingness to grant you a leave of absence.
- A portrait photograph
Eligible Countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Russia.
