Applications are open for the program “Moving MENA” with an aim to help cultural actors from the countries of the Arab world on the access to the German cultural scenes easy.
The program seeks to promote ways to meet payments to give local and regional cultural scenes, working to strengthen and promote networking within the framework of the independent cultural sector.
Moving MENA is a program that enhances mobility and provides the opportunity for cultural actors in the Arab countries to participate in festivals, exhibitions and other related events. Also keen in some unexplained cases to fund trips to discuss future projects.
Program Categories
Moving MENA is divided into two sub – programs:
- Program 1: It is about those cultural institutions in Germany, which would like to invite members of the former countries mentioned prompt. Host institution ensures the integration of the flight in the program conceptually and process supervision in Germany.
- Program 2: that the visitors from individuals traveling to Germany or to other Arab countries to participate in cultural events. In these cases, travelers keen to submit a request stating the purpose and objective of the travel, as well as its relationship to the changing communities in source countries.
Eligibility Criteria
- The target group of the Moving MENA program is the cultural operators of local younger who wish to participate in related events, as well as to present and discuss their own work in Germany or in other countries in the Arab region – like during the film and theater and cultural conferences and political opposition festivals and other cultural projects.
- However , the travel grants also extends to those individuals who seek to professional self – development through research or through participation in seminars and workshops or festivals, to exchange with colleagues and colleagues in Germany.
