Deadline: 1 December 2017
The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) is pleased to announce the opening of the selection process for the annual Visionary Voice Awards. This award, offered in conjunction with Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) each April, recognizes the creativity and commitment of individuals around the country who have demonstrated outstanding work to end sexual violence.
State, territory, and tribal coalitions select an outstanding individual to nominate for the awards each year. Nominees may be partners from a local community or other outstanding individuals that have worked to end sexual violence. The NSVRC encourages coalitions to connect with local programs in their area for nomination suggestions, but final submissions must be completed by a state, territory or tribal coalition.
As NSVRC consider candidates for the 2018 Visionary Voice Awards, they are conscious of the need to strike a balance between honoring the essential work being done by local advocates on the ground in their communities while also celebrating the efforts of high-profile individuals at the state and national levels.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nominees that have received this award in the past will not be considered.
- Nominees must be submitted by a state, territory or tribal sexual assault coalition (only one nominee per coalition).
- The NSVRC reserves the right to edit the biographies for publication.
