Deadline: 15-Jan-2026
The Learning Planet Institute is driving an intergenerational, global movement to build a Learning Planet Academy, supported by UNESCO and the United Nations University, adapted to transitions across the world.
Participants are invited to submit projects that focus on one of three key themes. The first, Community Impact, emphasizes initiatives that promote peace, democracy, and inclusion. The second, Flourishing, centers on enhancing well-being, thriving, and socio-emotional development. The third, Sustainability, encourages projects that support planetary health and advance the principles of a circular economy.
From the shortlisted entries, twelve outstanding projects will be awarded a $1,000 grant each to advance their work and deepen their positive influence. Beyond funding, the initiative ensures visibility and recognition by publishing selected projects on the Learning Planet projects platform, connecting participants with a global network of education leaders, partners, and changemakers who are collectively driving the future of learning.
The Learning Planet Youth Design Challenge provides a unique opportunity for young changemakers to bring their ideas to life through innovation in education. Sixty shortlisted projects will benefit from expert-led mentorship and thematic training, covering areas such as scaling strategies, community engagement, and the use of AI tools to enhance educational impact. This structured guidance aims to help participants refine their initiatives and prepare them for real-world implementation.
The deadline for applications is 15 January 2026.
