The ACP-EU Technical Center for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation ( CTA ), in collaboration with the African Agribusiness Incubators Network ( AAIN ), Agribusiness TV , and innovation incubation areas such as Orange Fab Côte d’Ivoire , CTIC Dakar (Senegal) Suguba (Mali), Wennovation Hub (Nigeria), Etrilabs (Benin), EcoHub (Togo), are seeking applications for its edition entitled “Pitch AgriHack West Africa 2017”.
The ultimate goal is to help develop the commercial services offered by young e-agricultural start-ups and to accelerate the adoption of innovations to improve the productivity of the agri-food sector.
Pitch AgriHack is a component of CTA’s AgriHack Talent program. This new edition is regional and covers West Africa. It includes:
- A competition for technolo- gical start-ups targeting the agricultural sector;
- A boot camp on entrepreneurship in the e-agriculture sector (ICT for agriculture)
- Access to grants, mentoring (incubation / acceleration) and the possibility to benefit from investments for the development of commercial services offered.
Funding Information
Successful young shoots will benefit from a CTA cash grant of up to € 15,000, apart from other opportunities offered by the partners involved.
Eligibility Criteria
- This edition is only open to young start-ups in West African countries, whose founders (at least one) are aged 35 or over.
- They must have functional prototypes or ICT platforms / applications already in service.

Eligible Countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, the island of Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, the island of Saint Helena, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome and Principe and Togo.
