The U.S. Consulate General. Public Affairs Section in Kolkata has announced “Promoting Energy and Infrastructure Growth in the Indo-Pacific” grant program with an aim to explore commercially viable regional investment opportunities for U.S. investors in South and Southeast Asia. This will be done by bringing together key stakeholders from East India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Burma and United States in the energy and infrastructure sectors for a one-day regional energy and infrastructure conference followed by a virtual investment fair.
The goal of this project is to promote collaboration between industries in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Burma, and the United States in the areas of energy and infrastructure to identify meaningful partnerships, particularly in the private sector, that will lead to a stronger and more prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
This project will bring together key stakeholders from East India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Burma and United States in the energy and infrastructure sectors to explore commercially viable regional investment opportunities for U.S. investors. PAS Kolkata proposes a one-day regional energy and infrastructure conference and virtual investment fair with participants from East India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, Nepal and the United States. The conference will also bring speakers from the United States who will share an insight on the U.S. market and collaborative strategies. The workshop will be followed by a second day virtual investment fair with investors tuning in virtually from United States who are interested in exploring projects in the region that have a multiplier effect for the U.S. market. The virtual conference will provide a cost effective and convenient opportunity for public and private sector parties to network and identify potential collaborations. The larger goal of the project is to establish a firmer and sustainable presence of the United States in the areas of energy and infrastructure in South and Southeast Asia.

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility is open to all non-profit, non-governmental organizations. Individuals are not eligible for an award under this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). Organizations may sub-contract with other entities, but only one, non-profit, non-governmental entity can be the prime recipient of the award. When sub-contracting with other entities, the responsibilities of each entity must be clearly defined in the proposal.
