Applications are open for the UNDP Youth Leadership Programme (YLP4) on the theme accelerating “innovative solutions for sustainable development”.
The Youth Leadership Programme aims to support and empower young women and men change-makers to design and implement innovative, impactful and sustainable development solutions, whether these be social enterprises, nonprofits, NGOs, initiatives, or campaigns.
YLP4 will contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. It will focus on supporting the development of youth’s innovative solutions to addressing sustainable development challenges.
Objectives
- Promote and support innovative thinking and leadership among youth;
- Accelerate implementation of innovative solutions for sustainable development;
- Build networks of young men and women who are able to create change and positive sustainable impact in their communities, countries and region;
- Showcase the achievements of young men and women as change makers in their communities.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age between 19 – 29
- Have the Lebanese Nationality
- Fluency in Arabic language
- Have an innovative idea preferably a prototype solution
- Both experienced and inexperienced participants are encouraged to apply
- High motivation and interest in social work and social change
Selection Criteria
- UNDP Country Offices in the Arab States region will work closely with the YLP4 regional team to identify and engage national youth-serving organizations, based on a rigorous selection process using the following criteria:
- Demonstrated professional experience and knowledge in supporting youth in development.
- Strong proven record, with quantifiable results, of making an impact on the youth in their communities.
- Number of youth involved in their programmes.
- Strong, demonstrable connection to Agenda 2030.
- Familiarity with social innovation methodologies, especially design thinking.
- Willingness/commitment to collaborate with UNDP.
- Have capacity (people, time, resources) to commit to YLP4 national activities
- Diverse staff (gender, people with disabilities, age….)
- Must have been in existence for at least 2 years.
- Have a clear sexual harassment policy.
