Deadline: 14-Sep-2025
The 2025 edition of the Human Rights Prize of the French Republic, now in its 38th year, offers a vital opportunity for individuals and organizations dedicated to the protection of child rights.
This year, the French National Consultative Commission on Human Rights anchors its attention on the grave issues of child exploitation and trafficking—a global crisis escalating amidst poverty, conflict, and climate change.
Applicants with field projects grounded in human rights principles that aim to combat child trafficking and exploitation are encouraged to apply. Emphasis is placed on initiatives that offer holistic support to young people, foster transformative and restorative action, and involve children themselves in meaningful participation throughout the project.
Those entering the competition will vie for one of five prestigious awards, sharing a total of €70,000. Winners will be invited to Paris for an official ceremony—typically held on December 10—where their achievements will be publicly recognized and potentially honored with France’s diplomatic protection.
The application process is open to both NGOs and individuals regardless of nationality, with projects implemented in France or abroad eligible for consideration. Submissions must be completed in French and include a formal letter, detailed description of actions carried out, organizational or personal background, and relevant contact and banking details.
This prize does more than provide funding—it elevates courageous defenders of children to an international platform, amplifying visibility, recognition, and support. For those working at the front lines to rescue children from exploitation, this represents a powerful chance to gain both resources and global acknowledgment.
