BK Foundation has announced a call for proposals under the theme “Access to Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education and Promoting Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All,” reaffirming its commitment to ensuring that every child, regardless of ability or circumstance, has the opportunity to thrive through education.
The focus areas of this call include inclusive education support, assistive devices and technology, capacity building for educators, parental and caregiver empowerment, community sensitization, health and rehabilitation linkages, and innovation and sustainability. These areas are designed to foster inclusivity, empower learners, and strengthen the education ecosystem in Rwanda through creative and sustainable approaches.
The grant aims to support initiatives that enhance access, equity, and learning outcomes for children with disabilities and special needs, ensuring their full participation in education and community life. Through this funding, BK Foundation seeks to identify credible and experienced organizations capable of implementing scalable models of inclusive education that promote lifelong learning and community development.
This Project Implementation Grant will be awarded to a single partner for a duration of three years, with performance-based disbursements tied to deliverables. Applicants are required to contribute a minimum of 30% of the total project budget as matching funds. The foundation encourages holistic project designs that integrate inclusive curricula, adaptive learning aids, teacher training, and innovative assistive technologies.
Eligibility is open to local NGOs, social enterprises, educational and specialized institutions registered and operating in Rwanda. Applicants must demonstrate at least five years of experience in programs focusing on children with disabilities, inclusive education, or related fields. Organizations with less formal experience may still apply if they can show evidence of successful community-based initiatives or partnerships with credible organizations and experts in the field.
