Deadline: 17-Nov-2025
The Leeds Community Foundation is currently accepting applications for Flint Family Fund to support community groups that focus on pre-natal, post-natal and early years development for both short- and long-term health and wellbeing outcomes for parents and children.
Grants are offered for up to two years and can provide crucial financial support to help develop and sustain meaningful community activities. Organisations that are incorporated, such as charitable companies or community interest companies, are eligible to apply, along with registered charities that are not incorporated, although these have some restrictions on how funds can be used.
Grants ranging from £10,000 to £20,000 are available to support initiatives that improve mental wellbeing and reduce loneliness among pregnant people and new parents. In addition, smaller grants of £5,000 or less are open to unincorporated and unregistered groups, provided their annual income is under £10,000 and the funding does not push them over this limit. This approach ensures that grassroots and emerging organisations can access funding without the need for formal registration, making it easier for local, community-led projects to receive the support they need to make a meaningful impact.
Applicants can seek funds for one-to-one and peer support initiatives, practical aid such as providing essential items, and programmes that encourage parental engagement and enhance parenting skills. Activities that promote children’s early communication, language, and numeracy development are also eligible, especially when delivered through informal and playful sessions. Outdoor activities, access to green spaces, and healthy eating initiatives are encouraged as part of the holistic support offered to families.
This opportunity provides an important source of support for organisations committed to improving the lives of pregnant people and new parents. It encourages inclusive, community-focused activities that foster wellbeing and development, offering a chance to make a real difference during a critical time in people’s lives.
