Deadline: 01-Aug-2025
The State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM is now accepting applications for its Environmental and Socially Useful Projects Competition. This initiative aims to promote volunteerism, raise environmental awareness, support youth development, and improve quality of life for vulnerable groups by empowering community-driven projects.
Project proposals can focus on a wide range of areas. These include engaging children and students in socially beneficial and environmental activities, supporting vulnerable populations such as the elderly, low-income families, orphans, and people with disabilities, and implementing volunteer-driven environmental efforts.
Other focus areas include popularizing environmental culture and volunteerism, supporting urban community development, helping animals through volunteer efforts, and encouraging healthy lifestyles and sports participation. Projects can also involve digital solutions that connect volunteers, NGOs, and beneficiaries or promote the improvement of urban infrastructure and the preservation of cultural heritage.
The competition is guided by key principles such as public focus, transparency, effectiveness, and the promotion of access to educational and volunteer resources. Projects will be evaluated based on their ability to address social challenges, promote citizen engagement, and build a strong culture of volunteerism.
Funding for selected projects ranges from a minimum of 250,000 rubles to a maximum of 500,000 rubles. This funding is intended to support impactful initiatives that align with the competition’s goals.
Eligible applicants include legal entities such as non-profit organizations, public groups, youth and volunteer associations. These must be registered in one of the participating countries—India, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, or Uzbekistan—at least two years before the competition begins. Exceptions may be made by the competition committee in special cases. Organizations currently undergoing suspension, reorganization, or bankruptcy are not eligible to apply.
