Deadline: 30-Jul-2025
The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is inviting applications to improve access to essential and social protection services for the most vulnerable children, adolescents, and women. This initiative focuses on supporting deprived populations in Pakistan, particularly in the Balochistan region.
The program falls under the sector of social policy and advocacy, targeting key areas such as social protection, multidimensional poverty, and social safety nets.
One expected outcome is the improved economic resilience of vulnerable households. At least 550 adolescents—60% female and 40% male—from Afghan-hosting communities and BISP beneficiary families will receive market-relevant skills training. This will help them access sustainable income opportunities and contribute to household financial stability. The program also includes post-training market linkages, a tracer study to measure employment impact, and mentoring support to ensure long-term livelihood success.
Another goal is to enhance the inclusion and well-being of children with disabilities. By improving access to inclusive medical screening for hearing and vision in both special and mainstream schools, the initiative aims to increase school attendance, retention, and learning outcomes.
Additionally, the program promotes youth engagement in environmental stewardship. It will conduct interactive sessions on climate change that focus on local challenges, sustainable practices, and community-based adaptation strategies.
