Deadline: 08-Aug-2025
The Northamptonshire Community Foundation has launched the Constance Travis Community Endowment Fund to support voluntary and community sector services that address priority needs in Northamptonshire.
The fund focuses on supporting rural communities, tackling inequality and deprivation, promoting health and wellbeing, and reducing disadvantages for children and young people. It also prioritizes education, skills and training, support for older people, improved housing and living conditions, and safer communities.
Grants awarded range from £3,500 to £10,000. Eligible costs include staff expenses such as salaries, training, and related items, as well as volunteer costs like reimbursements and training. Activity-related expenses such as catering and insurance are also covered, along with equipment purchases to support the delivery of the project.
Ineligible costs include overhead expenses exceeding 10% of the requested grant (excluding staff costs), capital projects like building works or property purchases, profit-making organisations, statutory services, political activities, and religious promotion.
To apply, your organisation must have an annual income of at least £75,000 and be a locally managed, voluntary, community, or self-help group based in Northamptonshire. Organisations must have a written constitution with a dissolution clause and relevant safeguarding and equality policies. Social enterprises with a single or related group of individuals as persons with significant control are generally not eligible.
The fund will not support general fundraising appeals, the replacement of public funding, religious or political conversion efforts, medical research or equipment, projects outside Northamptonshire, animal welfare activities, or national charities not directly serving the local community. Funding is also unavailable for work that has already been completed or occurs outside the county.
