The Administration for Children and Families is inviting applications for its Prevention Services Evaluation Partnerships: Supporting Adoptive Families funding opportunity. This initiative supports research and program evaluation for services aimed at helping adoptive families who are at risk of disruption or dissolution that might lead to foster care placements. The funding encourages partnerships between researchers, Title IV-E agencies, and community organizations with experience working with adopted children, foster children, or children in kinship care.
The evaluation should focus on one or more of the following areas: mental health programs or services, substance abuse prevention and treatment, in-home parent skill-building programs, and kinship navigator services. The funding awards range from a minimum of $900,000 to a maximum of $1,800,000.
Eligible applicants include public housing authorities, Indian housing authorities, private institutions of higher education, nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status, state and local governments, Native American tribal organizations and governments, for-profit organizations (excluding small businesses), small businesses, and independent school districts. Individuals, sole proprietorships, and foreign entities are not eligible to apply.
