Deadline: 10-Aug-2025
The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is accepting applications for a project focused on identifying under-vaccinated children in the Dikhil Region of Djibouti. The goal is to support improved vaccination coverage by encouraging and organizing demand through stronger community participation in local healthcare services.
This mission aims to involve communities more directly in the planning and delivery of vaccination efforts. By enhancing community engagement, the project seeks to make vaccination more accessible and consistent across all villages in the region.
The project falls under the health sector, with a specific focus on immunization. It is geographically targeted at the Dikhil Region in Djibouti.
Expected results include ensuring that all villages and neighborhoods in the region are mapped and linked to a health facility that provides vaccination services—whether through fixed, advanced fixed, or mobile strategies. Each health structure should maintain an updated, quarterly list of attached villages and their populations.
Another key goal is for all villages to establish and maintain functional community structures that actively support healthcare organization, especially for vaccination delivery.
Proposals will be evaluated based on the clarity of activities and expected outcomes, cost-effectiveness, local experience and presence, relevance to project goals, and expertise in the health sector.
