Deadline: 14-Nov-2025
The South Australian Government, through the Department of Human Services (DHS), is offering grant for initiatives that promote a more inclusive South Australia for people with disability.
Projects under this Grant round should align with one or more of the following themes: promoting active participation and inclusive communities, promotion of inclusive behaviours and attitudes, improving accessibility to natural and built environments, enhancing accessibility of communication and information, cultural and creative participation, and access to technology and digital inclusion.
The Julia Farr Disability Inclusion Grant funding aligns with the Department of Human Services’ State Disability Inclusion Plan 2025–2029 and supports the South Australian Government’s commitments under Closing the Gap – Priority Reform Two, which aims to increase the proportion of government funding for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programs and services delivered through the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community-Controlled Sector.
Grant funding will be available in two tiers: Tier 1 provides up to $20,000 delivered over 12 months, and Tier 2 provides up to $100,000 delivered over 24 months. There will be two grant rounds within the 2025–2026 financial year. The funding focuses on supporting eligible organisations in delivering initiatives that improve the lives of South Australians living with disability.
Funding will prioritise initiatives that enhance quality of life, promote rehabilitation and recreation, improve digital accessibility, strengthen community connections, and build leadership among people with disability. These include programs supporting wellbeing, inclusion, technology access, social participation, and empowerment, particularly for Aboriginal people with disability.
Projects supporting priority groups who may face additional barriers to accessing services may be prioritised. These include Aboriginal people with disability, people from new and emerging culturally and linguistically diverse communities, children, women, LGBTQIA+ people, people with significant intellectual disability or high vulnerability, and people living in regional communities.
Eligible applicants include South Australian voluntary, non-profit, community service or faith-based organisations; Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations; and local government entities that meet the legal and operational requirements outlined in the guidelines.
Successful applicants will be required to sign a funding agreement, submit financial acquittals, measure and report project outcomes, and appropriately acknowledge the State Government of South Australia.
The deadline for applications is 14 November 2025.
