OAFRICA, in collaboration with Ghana Philanthropy Forum, Kaeme, Hope Walks, The Ark Foundation Ghana, and Compad-Gh, invites participation in the National NGO Forum. This vital event focuses on tackling the pressing issue of child abuse and exploitation linked to illegal mining activities, known locally as galamsey, in Ghana.
The forum seeks to bring together key stakeholders to encourage collaboration, facilitate the exchange of knowledge, and develop effective strategies to safeguard children from the harmful effects of galamsey. It aims to create a unified response that can drive real change and protection for vulnerable children.
This National NGO Forum is positioned as a central platform where organizations and individuals can plan strategically, strengthen partnerships, and increase the collective impact of their efforts to combat child exploitation.
Eligible participants include Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), the Department of Social Welfare (DSW), local authorities, community leaders, health professionals, policymakers, media agencies, and members of the general public.
