Deadline: 15-Aug-2025
Applications are now open for the WM2U Lochee Make It Happen Fund, designed to support and encourage local groups by providing funding for projects and initiatives that create positive change within their communities. This fund is managed by local residents for the benefit of local people.
The fund aims to benefit children, young people, families, and adult groups in the Lochee community. It encourages the creation and delivery of meaningful impacts identified by these groups. Additionally, it supports the strategic goals of WM2U by helping services understand what individuals and communities can do independently and how public services can evolve to better support them over time.
Applicants can apply for funding up to a maximum of £1,000. The fund is open to not-for-profit organisations based in the Lochee Ward, whether formally constituted or informal unconstituted groups with at least three members on their committee or board.
Organisations based outside Lochee may also apply if their activities are developed with full involvement from children, young people, and families in Lochee. Eligible groups must have an annual income of less than £20,000. All funds must be used to support existing or future activities, with no profits distributed.
Groups of young people supported by a larger organisation but operating with some independence are also eligible. However, the fund will not support major items such as buildings, motor vehicles, or refurbishment. Salary costs, retroactive expenses, and activities promoting religious or political views are also ineligible. It will not fund mainstream or statutory services provided by public bodies like hospitals, schools, or universities.
