Deadline: 18-Sep-2025
The World Food Programme (WFP) has announced an opportunity for a cooperating partner to conduct post-distribution monitoring of the BISP-Nashonuma programme in Balochistan, Pakistan.
This initiative focuses on strengthening monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure that the programme effectively supports pregnant and breastfeeding women and mothers of young children across the province.
The selected partner will be responsible for leading and supporting operational and programmatic activities throughout the monitoring process. This includes securing necessary No Objection Certificates from relevant authorities, recruiting qualified staff, and ensuring that data collection meets established objectives and timelines. The partner will be expected to develop and implement a comprehensive work plan that integrates inclusion and protection considerations and adheres to the sample framework provided by WFP.
To guarantee the credibility of findings, the partner must collect accurate data from facilitation centres, provide geographic coordinates where applicable, and submit information for cross-validation. They will maintain continuous communication with WFP to report progress and address any challenges, while also supporting orientation sessions and providing oversight during the data collection phase to ensure quality and completeness.
Given the nature of the target group, the partner is required to employ female staff and work closely with community women in the field. This approach will foster trust and cultural appropriateness while ensuring that WFP’s existing implementing partners are not involved in data collection, thereby maintaining neutrality and eliminating conflicts of interest.
While the data will be stored on WFP’s servers and incorporated into overall reporting, the cooperating partner will contribute to the analysis by contextualizing Balochistan-specific findings. This will help WFP draw meaningful insights to strengthen programme delivery and inform future strategies.
This opportunity offers a crucial role in enhancing evidence-based decision-making for a programme that directly supports maternal and child health in one of Pakistan’s most underserved regions.
