UN Women is currently accepting applications for a partnership with a national human rights civil society organization (CSO). The aim is to develop and implement youth-focused initiatives that transform patriarchal masculinities and social norms. These actions should promote a fairer distribution of unpaid care work and support the economic empowerment of women and girls.
The selected CSO will work in alignment with the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, particularly its Youth and Children’s and Women’s Affairs Departments. These departments are responsible for designing and executing national policies that advance the well-being of youth, children, and women. Their duties include supporting youth organizations, developing educational programs, ensuring the protection of children and youth, and integrating young people into broader human development projects.
This partnership will involve preparing and implementing citizenship education programs, summer camp activities, and youth club engagements. It will also support the education and empowerment of young people, especially girls, through various educational and recreational programs.
The proposed project budget should range between 1,000,000 and 1,250,000 MAD. Eligible applicants must be Civilian Security Organizations (CSOs), with a strong encouragement for women-led organizations or entities to apply.
To qualify, the applying CSO must have at least three years of experience promoting women’s rights and gender equality, particularly in engaging men and youth. Additionally, the organization should have at least one experience working with local communities and a proven ability to implement community-based initiatives. It must also demonstrate the capacity to design and deliver both educational and entertaining tools for youth engagement.
