Deadline: 30-Sep-2025
The Taranaki Foundation Annual Funding provides an important opportunity for charities and community groups to secure support for their initiatives in 2025.
With approximately $77,000 available in contestable funding, the program is guided by the intent of donors who wish to make a lasting difference in the region.
Funding will focus on a wide range of priority areas, including children, youth, and family support, aged care, education, health and wellness, recreation and sport, and scholarship assistance. In addition, organisations working in South Taranaki and those building stronger communities are encouraged to apply.
Eligible applicants must be charities or community groups based in Taranaki, or those delivering a significant portion of their services in the region. Applications must come directly from the entity responsible for governing or managing the project, ensuring accountability and effective use of resources.
Grants typically range from $500 to $5,000. This ensures that a broad range of smaller, grassroots initiatives can receive meaningful support. However, funding will not be provided for activities such as core education curriculum, projects outside New Zealand, political advocacy, or initiatives primarily designed for fundraising or re-gifting.
Through this funding, the Taranaki Foundation continues its mission of supporting local communities and fostering projects that enrich lives across the region. By empowering organisations to deliver impactful services, the program helps build a stronger, more connected Taranaki for the future.
