Deadline: 27 November 2025
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Lebanon has issued a call for proposals for its 2026 programme aimed at transformation and media projects led by local NGOs or branches of international organisations.
Projects should align with human rights and transformation cooperation, including support for civil society, freedom of expression and the media, electoral rights, public participation, rule of law and equality and non-discrimination.
Eligible organisations must be locally-based non-governmental entities with legal status in Lebanon and capable of implementing a project of up to eight months in duration, commencing around March 2026 and concluding by October 31, 2026. Funding for each approved project ranges from a minimum of 100,000 CZK to a maximum of 500,000 CZK.
Applicants will need to complete the standard identification form in English, signed and possibly stamped by an authorised representative, and submit the form electronically to the embassy by November 27, 2025. This presents an opportunity for local civil society organisations in Lebanon to access international funding for initiatives that bolster media freedom, civic engagement, equality, institutional reform and human rights.
In pursuing this opportunity, organisations can envision projects that support local defenders of rights, amplify independent media and journalism, enhance public participation in democratic processes, or strengthen institutions underpinning the rule of law. The timeframe and budget provide a flexible base to drive concrete outcomes within a relatively short project cycle while embedding sustainable impact.
For organisations looking to make a meaningful contribution to Lebanon’s civic and media landscape, this call offers both a chance for recognition and the resources to implement transformative change. Thoughtful proposals that align with the themes, demonstrate local ownership and clear design may well benefit from this funding window.
