TACSO People-to-People is currently seeking applications from eligible individuals for its program titled “Access to Education and Employment for Roma”. The program is a study visit that will be hosted in Madrid, Spain on 8-12 May 2017.
Through this open call, TACSO P2P will support the participation of 2 CSOs from the Western Balkan countries and 4 CSOs from Turkey (IPA Region).
Objectives
This event aims to:
- Learn about the work of Fundacion Secretariado Gitano (FSG), one of the most successful organisations working on the social inclusion of Roma
- Examine FSG’s successful models (Acceder and Promociona) for promoting access to education and employment for Roma, with specific focus on the connection between the two
- Create an understanding of stakeholder engagement in multi-stakeholder programmes for social inclusion through meetings with representatives from the private sector, local administration, central administration and other NGOs.
Eligibility Criteria
CSO representatives fitting the following criteria are invited to apply:
- The CSO must be registered/working in the IPA region (AL, BiH, KO, MK, MNE, SR, TR).
- The CSO must be active in the areas of Roma social inclusion, especially education and employment, with preference for organisations working on both.
- The CSO representative must have at least 3 years experience working with Roma in the field of social inclusion, and must be currently engaged in a project or programme that focuses on Roma education/employment.
- The CSO representative must be supported by the organisation to participate in this study visit, with concrete commitment to integrate lessons learnt into their work.
- The CSO representative must speak sufficient English to interact with counterparts and participate in the program
