Nominations for the 2023 Civic Awards are now open.
The annual Whitehorse Civic Awards and the Sport and Recreation Civic Award are designed to recognise, acknowledge and promote the efforts of people and community clubs or groups who either live, work, study or participate in the Whitehorse community.
Categories
- Nominations can be made online in the following categories:
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Community Achievement Award
Criteria
- The awards will be presented to those who have made a noteworthy contribution this year or outstanding service to the community over a number of years.
- The Young Citizen of the Year must be under 27 years of age on 26 January 2023.
- The Community Achievement Award recognises groups and individuals that provide opportunities for participate participation and benefit of the wider community.
- The awards will be presented at the Australia Day Concert on 26 January 2023.
