Deadline: 12-Sep-2025
Applications are now open for the 3a Small Community Events Fund to support community and voluntary organisations in delivering small-scale community festivals, family fun days, Christmas parties, and Christmas tree switch-on events.
The focus areas include community events including family fun days, Christmas parties and festivals, Christmas tree switch-on events, and various community-based activities that bring people together and strengthen local connections.
Funding is available for one-day events at £500, two-day events at £750, and events lasting more than two days at £1,000. Christmas tree switch-on events are funded separately from the two-grant-per-year rule, with support based on the population size of the community: £500 for populations under 1,000, £750 for populations between 1,000 and 4,000, and £1,000 for populations over 4,000. Delivery of small-scale events can take place from 1 December 2025, while switch-on events should not take place before 10 November 2025.
Applications are open to formally constituted, community-managed, and autonomous organisations that are not-for-personal-profit and are working at a local community level with the wider community’s interests at heart. Eligible projects include fun days, festivals, community events, Christmas parties, and Christmas switch-on celebrations.
The funding size is up to £1,000 depending on the duration of the event or the population size of the community. The deadline for applications is 12 September 2025, at 12:00 Noon GMT.
