The NITI Aayog has announced a call for applications for the 5th Edition of Women Transforming India Awards 2021.
The Women Transforming India Awards, instituted four years ago, is NITI Aayog’s endeavor to recognize and celebrate stories of exceptional women changemakers from across India.
Since 2018, the WTI Awards have been hosted under the aegis of the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) on the theme of ‘Women and Entrepreneurship’. It is an ongoing endeavor to recognize and celebrate stories of exceptional women changemakers from across India.
Categories
- Public and Community Service: Civil society, grass-root governance, law enforcement and legal justice, international collaboration, journalism, Education and skill development, health, Agriculture and allied activities
- Manufacturing sector: Production and Manufacturing
- Non-manufacturing sector: Services maintenance and repairs, training, or consulting
- Financial products enabling economic growth: Banking and Finance
- Climate Action: Water and sanitation, environment, Energy including renewable energy, waste management, Water and sanitation
- Promote Art, Culture and handicrafts: Arts, Handloom/Handicrafts/Textiles/Leather and related goods, sports, Hospitality/Travel, Entertainment
- Digital Innovation: Innovation, science and technology, Information Technology, New Media and communication

Eligibility Criteria
- WEP is a platform built with the vision of building an ecosystem for women across India to realize their entrepreneurial aspirations. They request you to take two minutes to register yourself on the platform, you will be required to submit your registration code in the Women Transforming India Awards application.
- WTI accepts applications from anyone who identifies themselves as a woman.
- WTI Awards encourages women to become/be entrepreneurs. Kudos for having taken this journey, they do encourage you to apply when you have an existing business.
