Deadline: 15-Sep-2025
The Habitat Foundation is inviting applications for impactful projects and initiatives that align with their five focus areas: Conservation, Research, Education, Sustainability, and Training. These grants aim to support individuals and organizations working to make meaningful contributions in these fields, from species protection and habitat management to environmental education and capacity-building efforts.
Grants are open to a wide range of applicants including environmental practitioners, researchers, students, academicians, community members, and trainers. The foundation encourages proposals that demonstrate the potential to create strategic, on-the-ground impact rather than purely theoretical outcomes.
The funding provided ranges between RM15,000 and RM50,000. Projects must be based in Malaysia to qualify. The foundation prioritizes proposals with practical applications that benefit conservation efforts or local communities. Projects that are strictly academic without a clear connection to real-world outcomes will not be supported.
Special attention is given to proposals located within the Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve, reflecting The Habitat Foundation’s commitment to regional conservation priorities.
