Deadline: 05-Aug-2025
The International Society for the Performing Arts’ (ISPA) Scotland Fellowship Program offers a unique three-year opportunity for two mid-career leaders from Scotland’s performing arts community. Fellows gain access to ISPA’s global network of arts professionals and become part of its membership.
Participants attend the New York ISPA Congresses each year, where they engage in the exchange of ideas with prominent leaders from presenting organizations, production companies, artist management agencies, cultural policy groups, foundations, festivals, and more.
This program is best suited for performing arts professionals who are dedicated to strengthening global connections in the arts and who actively pursue their own professional development. It’s important to note that the ISPA Congress is not an arts market and offers limited opportunities for self-promotion.
Fellows receive ISPA membership from 2026 to 2028, which includes digital programming, peer consulting, and access to exclusive content. They attend three New York ISPA Congresses in January of 2026, 2027, and 2028. Before each Congress, fellows join a one-day seminar to connect with their cohort and participate in workshops and peer conversations.
Each fellow is paired with a current ISPA member at their first Congress through the Community Building Program, which helps them integrate and make the most of their experience. In 2026, fellows also receive a full pass to the Congress and up to $2,525 USD in travel and accommodation support.
To be eligible, applicants must live and work in Scotland, be active in the performing arts, have at least five years of professional experience, and be able to participate fully for all three years. Prior ISPA Fellows are not eligible.
The application requires personal details, employment information, a resume in PDF format, and answers to multiple-choice questions about work history. Fellows may rejoin for up to two additional years, receiving the same benefits as in year one.
