Deadline: 01-Aug-2025
The Cambridgeshire Community Foundation is excited to announce its October Fund, aimed at supporting projects that deliver sporting, social, educational, or other community activities in Waterbeach and Landbeach. Grants can be awarded to cover running costs and small capital items.
Grant amounts range from £1,000 up to £10,000. Non-profit organisations are eligible to apply, provided they are community-focused and legally registered if their income exceeds £5,000. Eligible entities include registered, exempt, and excepted charities, charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs), religious organisations whose projects benefit the wider community without religious content, parish and town councils, village halls, parochial church councils, community interest companies (CICs), social enterprises, and companies limited by guarantee.
The foundation does not fund organisational structures outside the ones listed or projects that are not charitable in focus. They also exclude activities or projects that have already taken place, sponsored events or fundraising activities, grant-making bodies or activities, and improvements to land or buildings that are not accessible to the public during convenient hours.
Applicants must provide a signed governing document confirming their not-for-profit status, including a dissolution clause ensuring assets will transfer to similar charitable organisations if the group ceases to operate. Accounts for the past year must be submitted, or an income and expenditure document if the group is small and unincorporated. New organisations less than a year old should provide a list of income and expenditure to date.
A recent bank statement or paying-in slip from the last three months is required to verify banking details. This document must show the bank name and logo, account name, sort code, and account number, as screenshots of online statements are not accepted. Lastly, the names of three independent and unconnected management committee members, trustees, or directors must be submitted to demonstrate good governance and fair decision-making.
