Deadline: 15-Aug-2025
The Fergusson Foundation is proud to announce the return of its Community Grants Program to support community-based projects aimed at preventing and eliminating family violence.
Projects must have a practical application and impact those affected by family violence, including victims, survivors, perpetrators, and their families and communities.
The program provides financial contributions to Canadian Registered Charities based in and serving Atlantic Canada. Charities are eligible if their project aligns with one or more of the three pillars of the Foundation: general awareness, intervention, and prevention and elimination.
Selected recipients will be awarded grants up to $10,000 per organization.
Eligible projects may include the provision of services such as counselling and assistance, education and training, and other services that align with the Foundation’s general requirements. They may also involve developing programs to educate staff or volunteers working in family violence areas or the general public.
Ineligible projects include those seeking to cover normal operating expenses such as rent, salaries, costs of ongoing programming, general overhead, or capital funding campaigns.
Canadian organizations based in and serving Atlantic Canada that are recognized as registered charities by Revenue Canada are eligible to apply.
Preference will be given to projects that demonstrate innovation, sustainability, transferability, and a commitment to diversity by addressing the full spectrum of those impacted by family violence, including under-represented groups.
