Deadline: 31-Dec-2025
The Friends of Liberia (FOL) invites Liberian nonprofits and NGOs to apply for small grants that support community development projects in various focus areas.
The Small Grants Committee awards funding to projects that are led by the communities they serve. These initiatives can involve education, healthcare, economic development, and environmental sustainability. The goal is to empower local communities to drive their own development using their unique knowledge and strengths to achieve lasting, meaningful change.
Each project must address real community needs and be guided by local leadership to build long-term capacity and self-reliance. FOL ensures the funding supports more than short-term fixes by investing in projects that strengthen communities from within.
Grants are available up to a maximum of $3,000 USD.
Eligible applicants must be nonprofit organizations registered with the Liberian government as not-for-profit or non-governmental entities. Proof of registration is required. Priority will be given to Liberian-led organizations with proven success in community development.
FOL does not fund organizations entirely reliant on the grant and will not cover administrative or operational costs. Additionally, FOL may support Peace Corps Volunteers serving in Liberia through small grants for community projects.
