Deadline: 03-Aug-2025
Jemena has opened the second round of its 2025 Community Grants Program, aiming to support communities where they operate and where their customers live and work. The program is focused on addressing disadvantage and backing initiatives that bring meaningful change to people’s lives.
The grants are designed to support organisations working on projects such as support services for disadvantaged individuals, food programs, social enterprises, and capacity-building activities. They are also interested in inclusive education, training, and employment initiatives, as well as projects that reduce social isolation or improve accessibility.
Community groups, not-for-profit organisations, schools, and charities can apply for grants of up to $10,000. Applicants must be incorporated, have an Australian Business Number (ABN), and a current bank account in their organisation’s name.
Eligible projects must align with the program’s focus areas, take place within Jemena’s operational areas, and be completed within 12 months of receiving the grant. Grantees must also agree to share updates, photographs, and a short final report on their project’s outcomes. Jemena may use this content for promotion on their website, social media, and other communications.
Ineligible applicants include individuals, commercial businesses, and most government entities, except for schools. Projects located outside of Jemena’s service areas or those already completed will not be funded. Activities that go against Jemena’s values or community standards, promote exclusion, or pose risks to people, animals, or the environment are also ineligible.
Additionally, political or religious activities, those related to gambling, drugs, or alcohol, and projects already funded by government or industry sponsors will not be considered for support.
