Deadline: 19-Sep-2025
The Lanark County’s Community Grants support projects, programs, and organizations that enhance communities and benefit residents by providing funds to non-profit agencies and organizations that align with Council’s priorities.
The focus areas for 2025 and 2026 funding are Tourism and Economic Development and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Fifty percent of the available funding will be allocated to projects and programs within these focus areas, while the remaining funding will be available for initiatives outside the focus areas that still meet the program’s policy criteria.
The purpose of the Lanark County Community Grants Program is to distribute County funds to support non-profit agencies and organizations that serve the residents of Lanark County. Grants are awarded to projects with a direct impact on people or an indirect impact through increased organizational capacity to sustain local initiatives. Funding will be aligned with Lanark County’s strategic priorities, with preference given to applications that advance Council’s priorities.
Eligible applicants include organizations providing services or programs to Lanark County residents, with unincorporated groups required to partner with an incorporated organization that will manage the funds. Organizations must have been in operation for at least one year, may submit only one application annually unless partnering, and must have fulfilled reporting requirements from previous grants.
Applications may be submitted for either a Project Grant or a Program Grant. Up to $10,000 annually is available for project grants, while up to $50,000 per Council term may be awarded for program grants. For 2025, up to $48,000 in combined funding for multi-year program grants and annual project grants may be awarded.
The deadline for applications is September 19, 2025. Grant recipients are required to submit a report within two months of completing their project or program, including a completed reporting form and relevant support materials.
